The
mission of Animal Relief and Rescue Fellowship, an all-volunteer organization,
is to provide responsible, humane care and treatment of animals from the city
of
v
To provide
medical treatment for all animals in our care that are sick or injured
v
To operate an
adoption program which places all adoptable animals in responsible, loving
homes
v
To make sure that
all animals in our care are spayed or neutered before going into an adoptive
home unless they are too young for the procedure
v
To follow up with
adoptive parents of unaltered puppies to make sure they are spayed or neutered
at the appropriate time
v
To help
facilitate a low cost spay and neuter program for area residents in need
v
To humanely
euthanize, and only when necessary, those animals that are not deemed adoptable
by a majority of Board Members.
Euthanasia will be performed according to the guidelines of the Humane
Society of the
v
To educate people
of all ages regarding the humane treatment of animals
v
To build a
state-of-the-art animal shelter in an accessible location which will also serve
as a model for other shelters to follow in handling lost, unwanted, neglected
or abandoned animals.

To maintain a
website on which pictures and information about animals ready for adoption are
posted, including complimentary postings for area residents’ personal pets
